Starting point is the car park nearby the Hotel Monte Rota/Alpenhotel Ratsberg. The hiking tour goes on a well signed path (n. 41) across the meadows of Monte Rota until Kirchberg (1.715m). From ther across the Montecosta from Villabassa down to Monguelfo (castle Monguelfo). It is possible to interrupt and descent to Dobbiaco on path n. 7 through Mellaten and Valle di Casis (path n. 7) and Villabassa (path n. 46).
